John has been charged with Anna Mae Aquash's murder. He is 48, from the Tuchone, born in Whitehorse. Many believe this to be part of the continuing pattern of injustice that keeps First Nation people alienated from the just use of their resources, and Leonard Peltier in prison for life, after being extradited from Burnaby under falsified evidence.
Rex Weyler, co-founder of Greenpeace, Retired UBC Professor Jennifer Wade, co-founder of Amnesty International BC, and Retired Police Officer Bob Newbrook, Leonard Peltier's arresting officer, are calling for people to attend the John Graham extradition hearing:
